  • Made in NSW Northern Rivers, Australia, by Northern Light Candles. They are truly a sustainable business and show respect for the environment, care for living creatures and have a long-standing relationship with bees. They come up with new candles, standards and innovations every year, and the quality of their wax and candles improve almost monthly. Most of their energy use comes from the waste product of macadamia nut shells to gently melt the beeswax with wood heated water. Because chlorine is absorbed into beeswax and is to be found in almost all other beeswax, Northern Light uses only rain water to create all of their organic beeswax candles. Northern Light stands alone in the candle industry when it comes down to sustainable practices and purity of beeswax. There is no other company that implements such high standards with beeswax and candle light.

  • This Tealight Candle has an expected burn time of approximately 6 - 8 hours. To maximise burn time, when you first light the candle allow it to burn for long enough that the top layer of wax is melted evenly to the edges.
  • Keep out of reach of children and do not leave the candle burning unattended.
  • We love Northern Lights' commitment to sustainability. The packaging is made from cardboard and is fully recyclable or compostable. When the candle has burned to the bottom, remove any remaining wax and reuse the tin for your next tealight. Keep the clean metal base of the cotton wick in an old can and wait till it’s full of these before adding to your metal recycling bin.

A great trick to remove any remaining wax that’s hardened in the bottom of your tin is to warm it in 1cm of water in a saucepan on the stove. When it’s warm, pour it into a container (and if you want to retain your wax for future candles, keep filling this up with any remnants). If you want to discard any of your precious wax, then it can go into your compost. Then the tin will be ready for your next Tealight.
