WILD WALKS: Autumn Term Feb 7 - May 16 2022

Want some more meaningful nature-time during your week?
Do you want to learn more about wild bushfoods, wildlife, nature connection practices, the seasonal calendar, geology, bushcraft, terrestrial & marine ecology... plus journey through your inner landscape?
Join us on our weekly nature walks and discover the wild within.
Welcome to Wild Walks!

This is a gentle introduction to deep nature connection and to the many ecological systems of the Byron Bay area through walkin' and talkin' about wild foods, ecology, nature connection practices, bushcraft, wildlife and much more. It will introduce you to the magic of walking with like-minded humans, the art of slow travel, the power of deep nature connection, and will immerse you in wild nature and the flow of our oceanside home.

Walking through these stunning coastal landscapes of the Byron Shire on Arakwal land will activate your strength, your inner child, your connection to Country and your personal power as a wild human.

Join us for our first Wild Walks Autumn Term: MONDAY AFTERNOONS 4.30pm - Sunset ~6pm from 7th Feb '22 - 16th May '22 (8 weekly sessions total with 2x  break weeks)

As a human animal, you need wild adventures to really ignite your inner fire and strength! Bushwalking is the BEST way to get this fix. And, of course, it's so, so good for your mental and physical health! So let's get walking.

There’s nothing like two (three?) years of never ending crises to challenge your vitality and passion for life. NOW is the time to bring your inner wild back online in a meaningful way, every week. Simply by walking.

We can take you there! The northern NSW Bundjalung coastlines are epic, beautiful lands that offer raw nature and the real Australian coastal experience (not to mention, some of the best beaches in the world)! Your Guide, Ecologist and Nature Connection Mentor Caitlin Weatherstone grew up along these coastlines and has a deep relationship with her ecological allies. Caitlin is an expert naturalist and wilderness hiker and is passionate about the natural world. She will show you her favourite wild bushfoods, useful plants (for weaving and other bushcrafts), wildlife friends, and her favourite (secret) wild places in the Shire to walk, explore, skip, frolick and swim.

The weekly Wild Walks sessions will take you on a body-based journey that will completely transform your awareness of nature and ignite powerful flow. You will have the chance to switch off (hello, digital detox for the afternoon!), walk away for the afternoon with just a small pack, with a small group of like-minded humans and slip into the rhythm of the eco-systems we journey through.

Above all else, these weekly walks will be wildly simple and fun and drop you into your state of childlike wonder and awe at the beauty at our back doors.

These Byron ecosystems are full of surprises; rocky headlands, grassy hills, calm bays, hidden caves, lush forests, coastal wildlife in abundance, remnants of aboriginal middens and refreshing waterholes to dive into. The special features and diversity of this land makes for exceptional hiking and adventure experiences. Not to mention - it's humpback whale season! So expect to see dozens of our oceanic ancestors cruising north on their way to the tropics from Antarctica.

Sign up for the full 8 week term, 4 week half term or just drop in casually!!

Below is everything you need to know to make your decision.
