Life Wild is a place for you ~ the city-living nature lovers, the office-bound ocean dwellers, the earth-and-everything-loving change makers, and the lovingly low tox families. It's a place to explore and discover ways to support you to live how you really want to ~ truly aligned with your values and more connected to nature, everyday.
We’ve set the foundations for everything we do in our Core Values: being kind, conscious and open. We’re progressively bringing together values-aligned makers and products that share our core values to create a community where life is lived with love and respect for our collective stakeholders ~ people, animals and planet.
In our Alignment Questionnaire, we ask about their approach to ethics, design, provenance, packaging, sustainability and waste.
We ask how sure they are that they meet the standards and laws of places where they operate.
We ask whether they have a positive approach to diversity and inclusion, pay their employees a fair wage, and pay their fair share of taxes, in the right place and at the right time.
We ask how they support their community and what initiatives they take part in.
We ask because we believe they're important, and most likely not only to us but to you and so many who want to buy products and support businesses who are aligned with their values ~ great businesses that are working to help us all live how we really want to and with respect our collective stakeholders ~ people, animals and this beautiful planet we call home. See our Alignment Questionnaire and what we ask here.
In line with our purpose, values and everything we’re being for you, we believe the circular economy is the way forward and we're adopting a conscious, circular business model, where we aim to emulate the cycles of nature.
The products we offer are designed to use less resources, be reused and minimise waste, and they come with 'End-of-life' ideas to help you execute on their circularity. They're progressively being made with materials that have been used before and/or that can be deconstructed and re-purposed or regenerated, or that will biodegrade back to the earth.
We live in a world of finite natural resources and waste is a design flaw. Every product we offer comes with our 'end-of-life' ideas as we work on increasingly making our products, and our service to you, circular. It's an important consideration for us in choosing the products we offer and in designing and manufacturng our own products, and currently only very few products in our range have aspects which need to be 'thrown away' to landfill ~ and you can be sure we're working on those.
To support our model and commitment to a circular way of business, we're also a member of Terracycle's Beauty Products Recycling Program and Mailing Satchel Recycling Program ~ some of the common stuff that we all have that can't be recycled kerbside.
If you've got empty beauty products which can't be recycled kerbside and they're shown here, clean them of product and find a local drop off point or send them to us to pass onto Terracycle for recycling. Likewise if you have one of these mailing satchels, find a drop off location near you here, or send them back to us to pass onto Terracycle: Life Wild, PO BOX 7489, Bondi Beach NSW 2026.
We care about our local communities and industries, and we believe in working to bring back skills and industry that’s diminished in recent decades.
We will always try to source our products from Australian businesses (while some of their products have been made overseas, they are designed and made for these Australian businesses), and our Life Wild products are all made in Australia, from Australian materials, using Australian skills and resources.
There are so many benefits of this ~ significantly lower carbon footprints, and positively supporting local people, communities, industry and economies. We’ve big plans here and we’re so looking forward to investing our profits into establishing this in a larger and more impactful way.
Every year we will also be donating 5% of our profits to values-aligned Australian not-for-profits, to support them in their great work.
We're doing things differently and we'd love you to join us. We're building our team, Advisory Board, community partners, and looking for local initiatives to support. Can we collaborate?
