Wild Search for Adventure Series - WEAVING WATER Women's Program - 19-23rd MAY 2022 - $500 deposit

NEW DATES FOR 2022 ANNOUNCED - MAY 19th - 23rd
Are you ready for the wild adventure of your lifetime?
Do you dream of exploring the REAL Australia on foot and deeply immersing into one of the largest stretches of undeveloped coastline in NSW?
Answer the call of Australia’s wild coastlines and join our group as we trek the Yuraygir Coastal Walk.
Welcome to Weaving Water!

This is a gentle, nourishing and deeply powerful introduction to multi-day hiking; an adventure full of the promise of transformation and deep nature connection as you hike into one of the largest areas of undeveloped coastline in NSW - Yuraygir National Park. It will introduce you to the magic of weaving with women, the art of slow travel and will immerse you in wild nature and the flow of the ocean.

Hiking through these stunning coastal landscapes will activate your womanly strength, your connection to Country and your personal power. Life will never be the same again!

Are you ready to join us for Weaving Water?

As a human animal, you need wild adventures to really ignite your inner fire and feminine strength!

There’s nothing like two years of never ending crises to challenge your vitality and passion for life. NOW is the time to bring your inner wild back online.

We can help you in a major way! The northern NSW coastlines are epic, beautiful lands that offer raw nature and the real Australian coastal experience! And, we know how to take you there for a hiking adventure of a lifetime.

With international travel bans still in place, THIS is your chance to explore the wilds of coastal Australia and connect with the lands of the Yuraygir people of the Gumbaynggirr Nation.

This is much more than a walking holiday! Weaving Water will take you on a body-based journey that will completely transform your awareness of nature and ignite powerful flow. You will have the chance to strip back technology (hello, digital detox!) and your modern comforts, hike away from civilisation with a small group of like-minded women and slip into the rhythm of the ocean.

Above all else, this trip will be wildly fun as you journey together with your fellow group members and experience this unique tour of coastal NSW guided by Wildlife Ecologist and Environmental Educator, Caitlin Weatherstone. Caitlin is an expert naturalist and wilderness hiker and knows how to survive using just the most primitive of means. She will show you how to make simple woven baskets using natural local fibres, teach you simple nature connection practices which will enhance your connection to yourself and your surroundings, and show you how to make your own fire with sticks. Every night you’ll get to bask under the expansive ocean sky, share stories and be kept warm by your tribal fire.

And the most special thing? You’ll get a real and authentic experience of these places, not just the tourist version! You’ll visit the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre- showcasing the rich culture and history of the Yuraygir/ Gumbaynggirr people and their lands - and experience a private Aboriginal cultural workshop. You will be warmly welcomed onto the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr people as we follow the trail of the endangered coastal emu from Sandon River to Red Rock.

The Gumbaynggirr people believe they have thrived in these coastal and mountainous areas since the beginning of time - Yuludarla // Dreaming time. Their cultures are rich and diverse, as are the landscapes that nourish them. The ocean and coastal landscapes provide everything they need.

Taking this newfound cultural connection into your coastal hiking experience will supercharge your connection to this ancient country and forever change your relationship to the nature around you and inside you.

Can you imagine it? Ending a day’s hike along this wild coastline, to be greeted by the clear night skies, salty air and weaving native fibres into beautiful, usable vessels, while being surrounded by your sisters.

The NSW coastlines are full of surprises; rocky headlands, grassy hills, calm bays, hidden caves, coastal wildlife in abundance, remnants of aboriginal middens and lush waterholes to dive into. The special features and diversity of this land makes for exceptional hiking and adventure experiences. Not to mention - it's humpback whale season! So expect to see dozens of our oceanic ancestors cruising south on their way back down to Antarctica.
